Nextcloud brings together file sharing, video meetings, calendar and office software in one secure cloud - on desktop, in the browser, and on mobile.

Webmail
Three alternative webmail apps
Nextcloud's own Mail app is the most convenient way to read your email - it's built right into the Nextcloud interface. Roundcube and SoGo are also available at the same time if you'd like an alternative. All three use the same mailbox, so you're free to pick whichever you like best.

SoGo
Calendar and address book included
Use SoGo's calendar and address book features freely. Create appointments, share calendars with colleagues, and keep your contacts stored - all in the same webmail.

Email software
Or use your favorite email client
If you don't want to use webmail, you can also read and send your email directly with a familiar email client. Our POP3 and IMAP protocols work with all the most common apps, such as Thunderbird, Outlook and Mac Mail.

Security
Effective spam protection by default
Every mailbox is protected against spam and malware by default. We filter with the widely used SpamAssassin, and complement it with DNSBL (Domain Name System-based Blackhole List) lookups, which block messages from known spam sources before they even reach your mailbox.

Infrastructure
Fast Finnish cloud servers
Hostaan Nextcloud runs on Hetzner's reliable, stable cloud platform - your service works reliably no matter what.
Resilient S3 storage in Finland
Your Nextcloud files are stored on Hetzner's resilient, Finland-based S3-compatible object storage, which spreads data across multiple disks already at the storage layer.
Restore your own files
Nextcloud automatically keeps earlier versions of your files. If a file changes by accident or gets deleted, you can restore it yourself from an earlier version directly in Nextcloud - no need to contact support.
Data stays in Europe
Data always stays in Finland or elsewhere in Europe, always under GDPR - never outside it.
Finnish service provider
A Finnish family company, Finnish service
Hostaan is a Finnish family company founded in 2019. Our servers are located in Finland and Europe, our support speaks Finnish, and every order supports Finnish jobs.
Privacy first
GDPR-compliant, open-source cloud software
EU GDPR legislation defines the privacy protection of Europeans more broadly than anywhere else in the world - and with Nextcloud, all your data stays in Europe, hosted on Hostaan's own terms. Nextcloud is open-source cloud software developed by the German company Nextcloud GmbH, built to give businesses and individuals control over their own data.
