Security
Effective spam protection by default
Every mailbox is protected against spam and malware by default. We filter with the widely used SpamAssassin, and complement it with DNSBL (Domain Name System-based Blackhole List) lookups, which block messages from known spam sources before they even reach your mailbox.

Switch to us
Easy email content migration
Switching to us from another provider and want to keep your old messages? No problem.
Our import tool makes it easy to bring your old server's email content over to your new one. Migration requires an IMAP connection to the old server, up to 2 GB per mailbox at a time - larger mailboxes migrate in multiple batches.

Also compatible with Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
If you want to use your domain hosted with us (now or later) with a Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 environment you've acquired, that works too.
We also offer these directly as a managed service - and as a third option, our own data-sensitive, Finland-hosted Nextcloud.

Infrastructure
Fast Finnish cloud servers
Hostaan's email services run on reliable, stable UpCloud and Hetzner cloud infrastructure - your email works reliably no matter what.
Fault-tolerant High Availability infrastructure
24/7 monitored cloud infrastructure where virtual servers move easily between hardware - unlike traditional single-server setups.
Backed up many times over
We automatically back up all customer data every night and take disk images daily - and you can also take your own backups anytime from the Plesk control panel.
Data stays in Europe
Data for our Finnish customers always stays in Finland, and is backed up to our other European data centers for geographic security reasons - always under GDPR.
