What is the Digital Services Act?

The EU Digital Services Act (DSA) sets obligations for digital service providers to better protect users and to tackle illegal content online. The DSA broadly covers digital services offered within the European Union, such as social media platforms, online stores, and web hosting services. The regulation promotes the reliability and safety of online services offered within the EU.

Report illegal content to us

If you come across content on our website, or on our customers' websites hosted on our servers, that you believe to be illegal, offensive, or in breach of our terms of service, please report it to us without delay. This helps us maintain a safe and responsible environment for all users.

How to report

Send your report by email to tuki@hostaan.fi. In your report, describe as precisely as possible what the content is and where it is located (e.g. the exact URL).

Please include your contact details (name and email address) and a clear explanation of why you consider the content illegal or inappropriate.

If possible, also include any other information that could help our assessment (such as screenshots of the content).

How reports are processed

We handle every report confidentially. We assess the reported content within the framework of Finnish law and our own terms of service. We aim to process reports as quickly as possible, and in any case within 5 business days. We will inform the reporter of any action we take - we do not, however, process reports that are incomplete or submitted in bad faith.

Appeals process

If you believe we have made an incorrect decision regarding your content, you may appeal the decision.

Send your appeal by email to tuki@hostaan.fi. Provide a detailed description of the situation, including how your content was handled and why you consider that handling incorrect. Please also include your contact details (name and email address) so that we can get in touch with you.

We handle every appeal and assess the situation fairly and impartially. We will inform you of the outcome of your appeal and of any further action. We aim to resolve appeals as quickly as possible, and in any case within 5 business days.
